Party Lighting Design at AT&T Performing Arts Center Lawn

In Audio / Visual, Lighting, Social by SandonBeyondAD

It’s not often you see a castle in the midst of downtown Dallas, but back in October one popped up for a fabulous 60th birthday party. Built on the AT&T Performing Arts Center Lawn the castle was inspired by Downton Abbey. BEYOND was brought in for this party to illuminate the castle on a dark fall night as well as provide audio and video mapping. In the arrival and cocktail area we had our cafe lighting strung to help create an elegant outdoor feel, peach sculptures and walls washed in light, uplighting in a soft natural tones. Existing trees in the area were washed with soft lighting to showcase a lush full outdoor look and the guests path to the castle was layered with patterned lights to create a moonlight effect projecting through the trees.

For the tent and lawn of the castle BEYOND had the exterior of the tent washed with controlled lighting, soft controlled lighting to wash the space from overhead to create an elegant and warm dinner party feel. Projected on the tent is where BEYOND provide video mapping on the south and east walls. On these walls we projected clips of the inspiration for the party Downton Abbey as guests arrived.
